The Englishmen never tire of talking about democracy, equality, fair play, impartiality, and nondiscrimination of any sort. They call themselves the champions of human rights. They claim to have granted equal rights and complete freedom to their women. Their language, however, is replete with such words that suggest strong gender bias to the disadvantage of women folk.

The following list of words substantiates my claim.

This is not an exhaustive list. There are so many other words beginning with “Man“. Why do all these words take “man” as a prefix? Why not “woman“? Just wondering.
